Folic Acid in End Pregnancy, Cause Asthma
Has been found by researchers from University of Adelaide, Australia, that there is a relationship between mother who consume folic acid at the end of term pregnancy with asthma.
New fetal consume folic acid at the end of her pregnancy has affected the risk of asthma at the age of about 3.5 – 5.5 years. Of 500 pregnant women studied since was pregnant, found taht 11.6 percent of asthmatic children when the age of 3.5 years, and another 11.8 percent at the age of 5.5 years.
Michael Davies, one of the researchers who issued this statement saying, in this study found no evidence to suggest that folic acid suplementation have an effect if taken in early pregnancy. The researchers also say that not in effect in children with asthma folic acid intake obtained through natural means, or in food, such as green leafy vegetables, fruits, and nuts.
Women who become pregnant are advised to take folic acid supplements at a dose of 400 micrograms per day in the beginning before and during the final trimester of pregnancy to reduce birth abnormalities. However, folic acid intake procedures in early pregnancy also had to be accompanied by recommendations for the calculation of the end of pregnancy.
