burgle_16997aThe last thing we want is to have our house broken into and have aburglar take our valuables or information. We want to feel safe and comfortable living in our own neighborhood can sometimes feel like an ovewhelming responsility. It requires ful commitment from security officers and everyone in the neighborhood to get involve in making sure our home and family are far from danger and theft. We need to be willing to work at it and actively take part in making it happen in our community. Here are some (news)simple security tips tou can help take part in :

  1. If you are leaving your house for a period of time, you should notify the security officers so they can help monitor any suspicious activities or unknown visitors to your house while you are away.
  2. Give your contact number to someone you trust.
  3. Switch off or unplug any unused electric appliances to avoid short circuit and other negative effects.
  4. Make sure to securely close and lock all windows and doors. Also, check the condition of your roofs and clean to avoid any leaks during rain.
  5. Make sure all door and window licks function properly. Add an extra lock to the doors or windows you consider necessary to hinder burglars from invading.
  6. Do not put or display any valuable belongings that may attract burglars in front of your house or your front yard.
  7. Tell the housekeepers not to tell about your leaving to anyone unfamiliar unless it is absolutely necessary. Ask them to contact you, should anyone want to do something in your home claiming it is your behalf without you inform them first beforehand.
