I once tried going vegetarian (because my girlfriend was one, and she INSISTED that I become one as well), and I had the hardest time keeping myself from wanting to run to the very first fried chicken restaurant I saw, and gorge myself to the point of pure humiliation. I was wreck, and it didn’t take long before I had to tell her that I had to make a choice, and the chicken leg won. Goodbye girlfriend.

It’s been years since then, and I have a whole new appreciation for going vegetarian, not just for the sake of what it means to all animal-kind, but what it means to keeping myself healthy, happy and fit. Meat has lost it’s appeal for me, and now I spend long and loving moments scanning the latest produce, and contemplating the benefits of veggie burgers of the non-processed type. ;-)
