Prompts for at least two liters of drinking water or about eight glasses per day is always associated with human health. As nutrients, water has an important task for the human body. Here are a function of the body of water is abstracted from the book Water For Health.

1. Forming Cells And Body Fluids.

The main components of the cell, except the fat cells, is water, which is 70-85 percent. Water plays an important role in the formation of various body fluids, like blood, gastric fluids, homones, enzymes and so forth. In addition, water is also present in muscle and is useful to maintain muscle tone so that muscles are able to contract.

2. Regulating Body Temperature.

Produce hot water, absorb and deliver heat to the entire body so as to maintain the body temperature remains stable. Through the production of sweat which mostly consists of water and salt the water helped cool the body temperature.

3.Solvent.

Water dissolves more nutrients and to aid in food digestion because water is an inorganic substance, water is not ingested. The water quickly through the small intestine and most of the absorbed and then helped to function as one component of mucus for the rest of the food substance to come out as feces.

4. Lubricant And Bearing.

Water also serves as a lubricant or lubricant in the form of joint fluid, which allows joints to move properly and reduce friction between the joints. Water also serves as a vibration resistant pads ( shock absorbing cushion fluid ) in body tissue, such as the brain, eyes, spinal cord and pockets amniom in the womb.

5. Media Transport.

Because structure consisting of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, water easily moves from one cell compartment to cell compartment another, from one body system to another system. Water is an effective transport medium. In the respiratory system, helps transport water oxygen throughout the body.

6. Detoxification.

The body produces a variety of metabolic waste that is not needed, including toxins. Various metabolic waste is excreted through the urinary tract, gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, and skin, which requires the media, namely water.

Beans also contain relatively high amounts of calcium, iron, folic acid and potassium. The next time you stock up, start with cans of chickpeas, white beans such as cannellini, and black beans.

Bean and Tuna Salad.

This easy, light meal salad offers both protein and omega 3 fatty acids. A more authentic version would call for tuna in olive oil, but I actually prefer water packed tuna.

1 small red onion, peeled and very thinly sliced, 1 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar or sherry vinegar, 1 (61/2 ounce) can water packed tuna – drained, 1 (15 ounce) can cannelline beans or borlotti beans – drained through a strainer and rinsed, 3 fresh sage leaves – slivered, 2 tablespoons finelly chopped flat – leaf parsly, salt and freshly ground pepper, 1 smal or medium garlic clove – finely minced, 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 3 tablespoons extra virgin oilve oil, 1 tablespoon plain low fat or non fat yougurt (or omit and use 4 tablespoons olive oil).

Drain and rinse with cold water, then dry on paper towels. In a medium bowl or salad bowl, combine the tuna, beans, onions, sage and parsly. Toss with the tuna and beans and serve, gamishing each plate with cucumber slices.

Beyond that, yogurt is a terrific source of protein ad calsium.

Drainded Yogurt. Drained of much of its water content, yogurt becomes a thick, creamy product known in the Middle East as lagna or labne. Drained yougurt is like a moist, fresh, tangy cheese, and it makes a great spread or dip. In Turkey and in the Midde East, a number of dips and salad dressing are based on drainded yogurt combined with pureed garlic and chopped fresh herbs. Drained yogurt can be mixed with chopped cucumbers for salads or with chopped dred apricots for a sweet and tangy dip.

2 cups low fat yogurt. Place the yogurt in the strainer, and regrigerate for at last two hours (preferably four hours or longer). Transfer to a covered container and regrigerate again. 1 to 2 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh peppermint or dill (or other fresh herbs of your choice) 1/2 cup finely chopped dried apricots, 1/2 teaspoon or more ground toasted cumin seeds, curry powder or other spices.

Yield : 1 cup

Advance preparations : Drained yougurt will last as long as the regular kind, so check the sell by date on the container. Beyond that, yogurt is a terrific source of protein and calcium.

Garlic may be useful in addition to medication to treat high blood pressure, a study suggests. Australian doctors enrolled 50 patients in a trial to see if garlic supplements could help those whose blood pressure was high, despite medication.

Those given four capsules of garlic extract a day had lower blood pressure than those on placebo, they report in scientific journal Maturitas. The British Heart Foundation said more research was needed. Garlic supplements have previously been shown to lower cholesterol and reduce high blood pressure in those with untreated hypertension.

Researcher Karin Ried said ” Garlic supplements have been associated with a blood pressure lowering effect of clinical significance in patients with untreated hypertension. Experts say garlic supplements should only be used after seeking medical advice, as garlic can thin the blood or interact with some medicines.

Ellen Mason, senior cardiac nurse at the British Heart Foundation, said using garlic for medicinal purposes dates back thousands of years, but it is essential that scientific research proves that garlic can help conditions such as raised blood pressure. So enjoy garlic as part of your diet but don’t stop taking your blood pressure medication.
